Yeah, home brew diyer you’re not who I am talking about.

I find people being locked out of the stuff *they physically own* and forced into an overpriced tech ecosystem to be offensive, honestly.
It makes a person of color tradie feel way less isolated when a credentialed ally sees the same string of truth.
😘
Embarrassing that the stupid republican villages were one of the first places to adopt mass golf cart transportation. They use so much less energy to get around than the people in PT who lease a brand new rav4 every fucking year. U.S. urbanism feels like a masturbatorium of motion for action.
My earliest memory was a car crash
a lot of us are safe streets advocates, because we have had people close to us die senselessly because of our car centric transportation system. so no, we won't find another hill

That’s a Cushman Minute Miser, cool line of trikes with a long history.
It’s also absolute bullshit and the American people want small Japanese trucks. Look at the price of any used one. Also it will never be repealed, we’ll probably have to bail them out again. Protecting the American automaker has left such a deadly default for transportation. It’s shameful.
If you could buy them new, it would take such a drastic chunk out of domestic truck sales. LBJ knew this, and that’s why the chicken tax (a tariff) still exists over half a century later. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken...
'big ass truck abundance' is incompatible with a habitable planet, with safe streets, and with public health
“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”
Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability & quality of life.
Common sense.
Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.

If designed inclusively, cycling infrastructure offers independent mobility to those with physical impairments who are left behind by car dependence.
For many people housebound or reliant on others for transport, two—or three—wheeled travel isn’t just a form of movement, it’s a form of empowerment.
No I’m here to tell you that anybody improperly operating a vehicle of any kind on a road poses a threat to everyone around them. We don’t operate our vehicles in isolation. And pretending one is inherently deadly, and the other merely an inconvenience is just obviously disingenuous.
We literally have data showing that cars -- especially large trucks and SUVs-- *are* inherently deadly because of their design. I have no patience for this.
Ebikes are not just bikes with a motor and battery. They are a new form of transportation
“Our results reject nesting electric with conventional bicycles, underscoring their distinct characteristics and minimal shared unobserved attributes”
Tried a really neat bucket bike for the first time last night! Super cool, will probably still never own one though.
The Honda Nippi was for wheelchair users to retain mobility. They still make these types of vehicles, but you can’t get them here in the states.

Video my sister-in-law helped me shoot at the beginning of the season talking about the tools/trikes/bikes in the workflow. Even in video it’s hard to get a sense of scale, but nothing pictured is wider than 4ft.
Photo of a woman and two men on a tandem tricycle with a piano mounted on the front end. The woman is sitting on the piano and the men are resting astride the bike. It’s from an episode of The New Steve Allen Show called Campus U.S.A., which aired December 27, 1961.

At first we just smiled when we’d see each other.
Then said hello.
Then started riding side by side for a few mins with some small talk.
And after a few weeks we got to know each other & became friends!
I have never made a friend on a car commute.
Bikes build community.

Very cool.
Myself with a fatbike staring down a high altitude valley in the Chilcotin mountains.
You always risk something when you monetize something you love. For me I haven’t gone on a proper bikepacking trip since I started this business because of the seasonal overlap. Very much miss biking for adventure.
I'm 1.94m (6'4") tall and would absolutely buy this car if they were available for purchase in the US. It's simple A to B transportation. I don't want a mortgage on 4 wheels for simple, daily life.
2 cargo trikes in gravel driveway, one with ramps the other with a trailer and tools
