Spreading expanse of a 25 y/o floribunda rose, “French Lace,” which is a ruffled, creamy white with a pale pink center. The rose is planted in a container, in front of a weathered fence and to the right of a wall of star jasmine, which is just about to bloom. A crape myrtle looms over the rose to the right, and the messy garden has volunteer asparagus ferns and a fig plant, with a concrete curb edging green lawn. A bit of blue sky can be seen behind the plants.
