This is kind of a strange image that captures a scenic sunset over a suburban neighbourhood, specifically showing a view of Mount Boucherie (West Kelowna). The sky features dramatic, colourful clouds illuminated by the setting sun while the neighbourhood below is beginning to get dark as twilight approaches. The sky which takes up 3/4s of the scene is stunning, as if it were a painting. With the backdrop of a powder blue sky, there are all kind of clouds of all shapes and sizes filling it - billowing, streaks, dots, puffy, some following the leader in a horizontal line, big, small, in shades of whites, grey, yellows & gold. The mass of land below is extremely dark, but you can see that there are many buildings built across the hillside they are on. A hint of pine tree silhouettes line the top of the hills - which were actually formed once upon a time from an ancient volcano.

Yellow Cat Flat, Utah The La Sal Mt's east of Moab Utah are in the distance, Moab lies behind the backside of Arches Nat'l Mon, on the far right near distance.
Wind and water wash sharp stones out of the layers of clay, remnants of broken hard chalcedony and agates from layers above. Different color minerals within the predominant clay create rainbow effects across the weathered mounds downslope.
Small hard gem agates and other pebbles form their own little pedestals as wind and water continuously wear away at the silty bentonite clay. Many of these brights flakes of sharp stone seemed to be debitage from stone tool making. The agatized shards of stone are colorful and good material for small knives, arrow points and scrapers.
Wind-sculpted sandstone along the bluffs bears witness to changing beach layers over time, now worn away in whirlwinds of time.
An area north of Moab Utah colloquially named 'The Poison Strip' for its historic mining activity has a fantastically layering of sandstone, bentonite clay deposits and assortment of other minerals. An early 20th century relative prospected here, I traced his path
