A tiled house roof. Part of the roof is in sunlight (at the top) and part is in shade. The tiles in shade are covered in frost. The edge of the frosty section runs diagonally downwards to the left and forms a bright white dividing line where the sun is hitting it but hasn't yet melted the ice. The apex of the roof forms another diagonal line, descending from the right this time, and above it there is clear, bright blue sky.

Since winter's trying to make a comeback here at the moment, here's a frosty roof from February for this week's Alphabet Challenge.

Photograph taken using a macro setting and a warm filter, looking through the keyhole in a very old door to the graveyard outside, at St. Agatha's Church in Easby, Yorkshire. The church dates from 1100 and has the most amazing medieval wall paintings. Layers of key shaped holes in the dark lock aperture through the door, a bit like Alice in Wonderland's shrinking corridor. At the end is bright sunshine which reflects of the shape of the lock.
