A gorgeous scene at Whistler & Blackcomb. The summer sky is deep blue but largely covered by a huge mass of a white billowing cloud over a slightly snow-capped mountain range which looks over a deep green pine tree forest at the far side of a turquoise coloured lake. The trees look smaller as they continue into the distance climbing the mountains. The picture is framed on either side through two huge fir trees and a few smaller ones connecting them at the bottom.

Taken during the summer, the landscape around the trail is a mix of alpine meadows and evergreen forests. In the right third of the image are two rectangular bright blue signs marking the direction to nearby ski slopes. They are at the top of an extremely tall H-shaped wooden frame. The upper sign has the outline of a white square followed by "Cloud Nine" and an arrow pointing left. The lower sign has the outline of a white square followed by "Panorama" and an arrow pointing right.
Left to Cloud Nine, right to Panorama, and way up in the air for signs that need to still be visible in the winter.

There appears to be an attempt at a bit of landscaping happening in this spot with fresh looking soil and sprouting greenery. The marmot is happily eating some of these attempts. Some rocks and a wooden fence are out of focus in the background.
This marmot seemed pleased the humans keep growing fresh little sprouts for snacking.
