Thank you! I love the Peddlar's story and I'm also fascinated by the Old London Bridge so it was a great opportunity to make a painting of it. There's a model of the bridge in a church close to the Thames , in the City. I really need to go and see it...

I love that! I have a similar memory from when they mentioned the village of Eyam on Blue Peter ( I grew up not to far away). Something about it being on the TV made me feel good!!

If you find yourself in Norwich over the next few weeks please get yourself along to Mandells Gallery on Elm Hill. The Being Woman Show is well worth a visit and I'd love for you to see my paintings in the show

The Dauntless Girl, from the Norfolk tale of Mary - fearlessly she goes into the "dead house" and retrieves a skull bone, has dealings with ghosts and is , in all aspects, Dauntless #mythologymonday #norfolkfolklore

A threatening and creepy tree I don't like at all, which speaks out of its bellybutton and is advancing towards me in tiny tree steps which it thinks I haven't noticed, and repeatedly asking me why I will not "Come inside where it is warm, for a nice treat."

THREAD. A collection of photographs of excellent trees I have met on walks.

You will find the all-important captions to each photo in the alt text.

The period of time between February 1st and May 1st is a part of the year where power is in flux between Brigid and the Cailleach. Brigid will prevail - with her sunshine and her blooming hedgerows but when exactly that happens is decided between two goddesses

A view looking down on a group of families surrounding a lit bonfire.
Almost all the illumination in the picture comes from the bonfire and the contrast is warm and striking

This book brought on a hallucination of a wolf in my bedroom, as a small child, when I was feverish from scarlet fever. Just seeing the cover was a shock 🤯

I spotted this moth in my garden this week. Hadn't seen one before. Turns out it's a boxwoodmoth. Him and his friends have pretty much destroyed my garden in just one season. As you can imagine I have complex feelings about him
