I’ve not build a Gecko kit yet, but I do have three in the stash.

Rob Riv’s also done a build video to accompany the article. It looks like a lovely little kit.

Good to meet you too Trevor. Agreed about the show, it was very good (and I managed to keep most of my cash in my wallet). See you at Telford.

Come and say hi Trevor, I’m on the IPMS Rutland stand (the one with the big yellow horseshoe)

I’ll be at the East Midlands show tomorrow with the club, looking forward to it. Agreed about the flyer though, I suspect that design breaks several international laws. It just makes my teeth itch.

Awesome work that Paul, and those figures really set it off nicely 👌

That wouldn’t have been Air-Craft up in Fort William would it? I bought most of my airbrush kit from them, and Martin couldn’t have been more helpful. Sad to see him shut up shop.

That Jeep seems like it’s been a real labour of love Simon… and well worth all the effort, it looks sweet 👌

This is probably the most complex build I've ever done. RFM is not to be trifled with, #histscalemodels. I haven't added a few of the more fiddly parts and the snow chain wheels due to their delicateness, but the Struker MGS is about ready for prime time.

Wow, that’s some fabulous work Matthew. Can’t wait to see it painted up.

For windscreens, I mask the wiper pattern and spray a very light dusting of Tamiya buff, highly thinned with MLT (basically dirty thinners, with about 5% paint), building it up slowly until happy. I have tried speckling gouache and that worked well as you can just wipe away what you don’t want.

We’re trying to resist the urge to binge it, it’s just a delight

Thank you Stef 🙏

It felt like a bit of a slog in the end, glad I can see the finish line (until I start the base)

Right, I think I’ve done as much weathering on the Churchill as I’m comfortable with (for now, and at least until I make a base do it). Stowage next.
