But for real, can we ditch all the screens and test standardization?!
For a leading art institution in Amsterdam, charging lithium-ion batteries indoors was not an ideal option. By placing a Powershelter charging unit in an exterior staff area, they created space for employees to commute sustainably without adding fire risk near artworks.

Why are you carrying water for billionaires?
They don't need your help and they'll never help you.
“The Bullshit Asymmetry Principle, also known as Brandolini’s Law, states that the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.”
Useful article. As we look at solutions though, our priority is demanding upstream leadership. #UrbanTruth
“Google has created a misinformation crisis. Studies have shown that people tend to trust what AI tells them without question…Another experiment found that users still listened to AI when it gave them the wrong answer nearly 80% of the time—a grim trend the researchers dubbed “cognitive surrender.”
I'm a sucker for every country's/region's standard lager.
Hofbrau original, pilsner urquell, Sapporo, Budweiser, Modelo, etc
All foods are either a sandwich or a stroganoff.
Taco=sandwich
Open-faced sandwich=stroganoff
A WHOLE CIVILIZATION WILL DIE TONIGHT My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools. Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's "keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's "we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight." It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before. "It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time. A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead. @michaelfdubois Mukad A QuBoy @michacifdubois
Brutal.
The time to do something is now, and we must act.
Just called and left a message.
May level heads prevail and stop those who have clearly lost theirs

The remarkable Artemis II mission isn’t making me more passionate about Mars. It’s making me more passionate about Earth.

I'm in this fight to do less more often.
Replace the radiators with floor standing fancoils (w/condensate drains).
Then do heating/cooling with an air to water heat pump and trim heat/backup boiler.
Saving money on gas starts with smarter alternatives to owning a car.
With an e-bike that can handle groceries, commutes, and school drop-offs, you can transition to a one-car family, using it for daily trips and saving thousands each year.

“Oregonians have been voting by mail for decades. It’s safe and secure. Even the president does it. Vote by mail increases access to the ballot which is a cornerstone to our democracy, and we’ll use every legal tool available to us to fight this and protect Oregonians’ right to vote.”
Read our statement on today’s executive order limiting vote by mail. #orpol
Sorry you broke your thumb. Glad you didn't lose any fingers, tho.
Wishing you a quick recovery!
We should abolish the Senate and make the house be 695 seats (the cube root of the population), w/20yr term limits.
Then expand the supreme court to 21 seats w/21yr term limits.

Corn fields to solar farms is the answer!
*with low lying crops and wildflowers for bees
This is a solar array I visited this month heating up and turing to the sun as they slough off the snow
Not everybody can drive.
Let's give them better choices
Any incremental improvement is worth it.
1/3 of all petroleum is used just to transport petroleum.
1/3 of 100M acres to grow corn for ethenol fuel could generate 100% the USA's energy need with solar power.
That leaves 66M acres left to grow real food crops.

If you build the goddammed infrastructure, people will use it.
youtu.be/5wZ0tXMSAfs?...
Children bike to school in snow, in the dark, in nordic countries because the gov built the infrastructure necessary (for pennies on the dollar vs car infra)

I’ve been saying for months that this Paris election to pick @annehidalgo.bsky.social’s successor is the most important city election in the world. Over 34 years advising cities, I’ve seen inspiring cities either take their success to the next level, or go backwards, in moments just like this. #VOTE
