Out of the loop so super late to seeing your incredible work, but I think the accidental purple quad is my favourite so far 💜

You too! Utterly gorgeous to see your face. It was great, can’t wait for next year! x
Large wicker figure in the shape of a Roman gladiator with trident, net and enclosed helmet
The wickerman in the distance seen over a crowd of people. One leg is of fire, and there are musicians in front playing.
The wickerman fully alight
First #beltain celebration @butserancientfarm.co.uk last night. The most incredible wickerman, in full flames in less than 5 minutes. An amazingly joyful evening 🔥
Image shows a single standing stone at Stonehenge being supported by wooden uprights, with two antiquarian archaeologists working beside it
For #StandingStoneSunday sharing an image from @antiquaries.bsky.social collection of Stone 56 at Stonehenge. I loved stumbling across this collection while SAL’s Museum Collections Manager in 2017
A Queen beetle (Anoplognathus viriditarsis) specimen held in my hand over a drawer of other Christmas beetles.
A preserved specimen of a King beetle (Anoplognathus viridiaeneus) which is a stunning metallic yellow/gold.
Christmas beetles display some of the most exquisite iridescence in nature, from shimmering golds to vibrant greens. It’s more impressive than any festive light display! ✨
So here’s some beetle royalty… the Queen (Anoplognathus viriditarsis) & King (Anoplognathus viridiaeneus) 🪲
Happy holidays!
View of two standing stones with a crossed lintel against a dark blue sky, with two other standing stones either side. Many people gathered in foreground looking up.
Over a year here and haven’t posted anything real yet (toddler!). So I’m starting strong with the 2024 Winter Solstice. No sun at Stonehenge this morning, but so glad I finally made it - I needed to close out 2024 properly ✨
Late to the game as always, but if there’s space I’d love to be looped in too
Oh! That is such sad news. Such a loss, wow…
BREAKING:

Always the way! (Shouldn’t be, but is… same with exhibition openings…)
It's that time of year again! Here are the prompts for #museum30 2023. As always it is a mix of standard prompts and some new additions - will you be taking part in November? bit.ly/museum-30-2023
Mine too! So glad it’s happening over here!
