The issue is breadth of antimicrobial coverage, measured bluntly by the number of species that you catch within your antibacterial net!

Dr Lester, in my experience it goes Start Smart; Focus; escalated overnight by F1 for a temp of 37.3; de-escalate again; back on IV because AMT 9/10; on orals after 10d IV to finish off; but it’s high dose Cipro obviously and the patient just died of C.diff
