Happy Tuesday! We had a wonderfully calm and peaceful sunrise with a nice simple shimmer to the shore this morning. It would be dandy if the rest of the day follows suit. Tap for full size. I hope you have a great day!

Risso's dolphins are easily distinguished from other dolphins by their heavily scarred bodies. These scars are a result of the dolphins' rough social behavior, as well as their encounters with prey such as squid and octopuses. Just like human fingerprints, each Risso's dolphin's scars are unique.
The fiery glow of Sunday fades,
The old week’s weight now slips away.
Fresh hope blooms in the twilight shades,
To greet the dawn of a brand new day.

A pulse without leaves and becomes.
A gaze made constant,
where time forgets motion
and yields into grace.
The immensity of an open sky
in that nearness
between cloud and cosmos—
No sky its boundary
only quiet vastness opens
beyond both day and night.
No distance can prove,
all that I am
falls gently into You.

Good morning!
From photographer Vince Pottier:
"This morning from work, Sunrise and breezy morning. April 18 2026"
Happy Monday! It's a new week! The clouds refused to budge from their bland gray until just before sunrise when a little backlighting appeared – and then when the sun broke the horizon some nice front lighting complemented the show. Tap for full size. I hope you have a great day!

Our stunning home galaxy I’ve a frozen loch.
An oldie, but probably my favourite Milky Way shot that I’ve taken.

Good morning!
From photographer Rick Oneil:
"Rippled Sky..
Hadn’t seen a sunset like this in a while. Water was calm and the clouds just started rippling across the sky. Felt like things are finally starting to shift into spring."

Morning all.

The image shows detail of a heavy, rather scarred and weathered, old wooden door. The two panels of the door meet in the center of the image, where a clunky brown metal handle and vertical bar for latching at the top and bottom of the door can be seen. Each panel of the door has two rectangular recessions with sharp edges surrounded by a larger frame. The upper left recession has inside it a square piece of grey metal, partially covered with greenish corrosion. Other patches of green corrosion appear here and there, mostly on the left door panel. A keyhole and some brown metal hardware (possibly part of a hinge) appear in the right middle edge of the frame. On each panel of the door, around the middle from top to bottom, is a small array of bolts serving no obvious purpose.
This has edges. And it's old! Door* found in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Toronto, March 2026

Happy Saturday! It's the weekend! We are stuck in a heavy fog that has not abated since before daybreak so here is the second place coffee shop vote-getter from Wednesday of the sun just after it crossed past the horizon line. Tap for full size. I hope you have a great day!
