My takeaways:
-Well done study with 1000+ randomized, credit to the authors + participants
- Still a hard sell for NMIBC—AE risks warrant close collab w/ med onc despite likely push to do these in the urology clinics “bc it’s subQ”
-If you don’t have BCG, you still don’t have BCG—and this needs BCG

Results of CREST: sasanlimab+BCG in BCG naive HR NMIBC patients offers a 32% risk reduction in HR recurrence, persistent CIS, progression, or death compared to BCG alone.

www.nature.com/articles/s41...

AEs are 🤨 - Grade 3 - 29%(!!) for sasanlimab pts vs 6% for BCG
- 2 treatment related deaths

Kudos to @amehtamd.bsky.social and colleagues for a fantastic session on vasectomy guidelines - key takeaways: fascial interposition, allow patient autonomy, and there’s no plausible biological link to prostate cancer #AUA2025
