A green neon sign inside the window of a coffee shop illuminates the condensation and rain covering the glass in a bloom of light. The sign reads “Corner Coffee Co.”. Visible to the right of the corner window is a deep purple sky of late twilight. This is a colour film photo.

Neon rain on Bath Road. Handheld at about 1/8th, braced against a dead end signpost.

I Am Martin Parr Discover the maverick behind some of the most iconic images of the past century on an intimate and exclusive road trip with a photographer whose work has revolutionised contemporary photography.

Very very late to the Parrty on this, but if you’ve been under the same rock I have, this is well worth a watch:

Yikes. Run away I say!

For the most part I have the same experience, but I really REALLY wish more people would use hashtags like ‘uspol’ / ‘ukpol’ for selective muting. I really don’t want it here, and would like the option to mute it.

A black and white film photograph of a person doing a detailed pencil drawing of a woman in a painting that’s hung on a wall at the national gallery. The image was accidentally underexposed by 2 stops (the whole roll was). Only the artist’s head and drawing pad, and part of the painting are lit enough to see details.

I just tried to capture some on the way out of SPA. Way too much light pollution. Will try again at home in Lecky

a mercedes truck is driving down a road ALT: a mercedes truck is driving down a road

We’ve had this recently with road closures and terrible potholes and sinkholes around the (very rural) office.
Them: Are the roads open again or shall I work from home?
Me: *Basking in silence* yep they’re open, but you’ll need a Unimog..

Very sleepily made a handful of borderline disrespectful offers on eBay Polaroid listings late last night. Woke to find 3 accepted 😅 I feel a bit bad now!

Thank you but it’s ok I have a mate locally with one I’ll borrow. I was hoping to avoid modelling my own in the first instance. Seemed pointless making a good model when Simon Forster has that covered. But I’m starting to shift enough OM lenses that I need to print my own really.

Does anyone have a good tried and tested OM Mount rear lens cap model? The couple I’ve tied from Printables and Thingiverse are very loose and scaling isn’t turning out to be a great fix. Before I model one, I thought I’d ask… #FilmPhotography #BelieveInFilm #3DPrinting

Feels like I spent most of my young childhood in a Wimpy, good memories. Also there must be a load of Mr.Wimpy badges in my old mum’s roof.

Yep. Little bed of nails type things, which are actually quite relaxing to step on, unlike Lego…

I’d be happy with this as a keeper if it just had some flash modes. Very pleased with the lens/results in general.

A white dog holding a ball in its mouth stood on a park bench next to its owner, whose arm is in view. It was late winter afternoon and the flash has picked out just the foreground scene. This is a black and white image on film.

She said “Ok, as long as I’m not in it. Biscuit! Come here!”

Quic Pic opener for plastic cartridges (Foma, Lomography etc) • filmcameras.uk This tool opens Lomography and Foma new-style 35mm cassettes, making processing easier, and making the cassettes available for reuse when bulk rolling and loading film.

That weird box/tray looks odd, but these ones work well I find: filmcameras.uk/product/foma...

For me it’s more about being able to load really short rolls, so even at the same cost I’d go bulk. Although, if my source of Foma/Lomo
style snap-together cassettes dries up, I might go back to reusing metal ones with taped tails.
