Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. visited Denver several times during the Civil Rights Movement. He spoke to students, faith leaders, and community members, calling for racial justice and nonviolent change. His visits remind us that Denver was part of the national struggle for equality and civil rights.
Had a great time chatting and going down memory lane of my dissertation work completed in 2010, whoa!
🎉 Happy 100th birthday to Jiro Ono (born Oct 27 1925), the legendary sushi master of Sukiyabashi Jiro. 🍣 His devotion to perfection and the film Jiro Dreams of Sushi continue to inspire me and countless others around the world. 👏 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiro_Ono
How better to prep for #WorldAnatomyDay than exploring @cuanschutz.bsky.social’s rare books with my daughters? We even saw a first edition of Vesalius’ De Humani Corporis Fabrica! A fun and humbling glimpse into anatomy’s past. Thanks to librarian Tina Drew for making this happen!
A long time coming, getting the opportunity today to teach alongside my very accomplished wife in the CU PT Program. This morning I review bony anatomy and muscle actions of the spine, while Stephanie handles the osteokinematic and arthrokinematic movements. #DrsPascoe #RollGlide #Zygapophysial
Beyond excited that our proposal for a US stamp commemorating the 100+ years of contributions of physical therapy to the American people is being passed on to the next stage- consideration by the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee. Wish us luck Eric Robertson Scott Ward 📨📮 @aptaofficial.bsky.social

New publication: I explored whether serving as an anatomy TA helps med students perform better on #Step1. The findings may surprise you, teaching doesn’t always translate to test gains. Thanks for reading and boosting!

From Physical Therapy to Brewing: CU School of Medicine Grad Crafts a Beer Career
‘Beer is equal parts art and science,’ says Sean Buchan, whose Cerebral Brewing now has an outpost near the CU Anschutz Medical Campus.
In my opinion it is very unlikely. I had the same thought as well.
I spy an ansa cervicalis and a superior cervical ganglion!
@paula-gar-lo.bsky.social hello! I just got on here. Haven’t done too much posting yet.
That’s a patella slapper for sure!!
Yeah, seems concerning, any reasons why there would be bias toward seeing this? Pulmonary specialist? Reminds me of vertebral artery dissection during chiropractic cervical manipulation!
It’s pretty rare and it can happen. I would also review data from acupuncturists, they use a lot more needles. Under reporting of incidents a consideration too.
Thanks to Keri Maywhort for presenting our work at AAOMPT on a deeper dive into QI of trigger point dry needling education courses. You need a strong anatomy background for this intervention!
