I can hold the dialectic that Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric was horrific and dangerous, and I also don’t want to live in a country where speakers at universities get shot in the neck.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

Like wdym I get to write my bachelor's thesis about disabled trans people's experiences on the performativity of gender while simultaneously the US is trying to actively deny that trans people even exist? When most of the theories & research I build on has been done in the US?

It's sort of wild to me that I get to study complex queer theories and do my own research on very niche topics & at the same time elsewhere basic-level information and research about trans and queer people is actively being destroyed and censored.

One of the first things Hitler did was destroy and burn trans research at the Institute of Sexology.

Trump has spent the past couple weeks systematically attempting to erase any trans related information that he has power over.
