Sunny spells and showers make for great rainbows. The full rainbow just now after a shower. Captured by drone near Tullow.

Being from Wicklow I'd actually love to see a return to hosteling like An Óige. Might not be feasible but it would be great
Follow-up to “The Blockade Is the Message” is up.
3 collapses in a weekend the blockade ended:
📌a gov’t that found €750m for a tractor but not €100m for disability
📌an opposition that filed the right motion on the wrong grounds
📌a tradition claimed by people it was built against

DWI submission on the Cost of Disability. I believe the consultation may be used as yet another divide & conquer tactic by this government, rather than being used to actually address systemic inequality. Ireland - officially the worse place in EU to be disabled. #Spéirghorm

I’ve managed to string together my thoughts through the rage this week, please read & share 💭✍🏼

It has become very clear that this fake fuel protest is in reality a far-right operation designed to test the resilience of our democracy.
Many of its leaders are documented fascists and racists.
This is just the dress rehearsal. 1/
Actually email would be much better - it's neuroprideireland@gmail.com,v thanks
Sorry, only seeing this now. Of course, send me a dm and we can chat.
Waterford is becoming increasingly cut off - the service to Rosslare/Wexford is also a blow though served by others. Stopping the buses from Waterford going through Wicklow meant I couldn't visit my parents unless my partner took time off work for years without it taking half the day
The deadline for this is tomorrow, any more signatures would be appreciated!

Reginald's Tower Waterford, Ireland oldest civic building (c1253) at night with a Viking longship, text 'happy St Patrick's Day' and a shamrock projected on it
6000 year old Leac na Scáil Dolmen, fully intact with all standing stones and cap stone in place, very impressive and tall structure
Two booted feet dangling over the top of a rushing waterfall (not a very high one but in full spare)
Very traditional Patrick's Day for us - walk in the Waterford parade, visit the 6000 year old Leac na Scáil Dolmen, chill by the Poulanassy waterfall and finish with a pub meal of Beef & Guinness pie, listen to rebel songs on the way home.

A purple public‑consultation graphic from Ireland’s Department of Social Protection. White text reads: “Help us shape a new cost of disability payment. Share your views at gov.ie/COD.” The department’s bilingual logo appears at the bottom.
Disabled Women Ireland is preparing a submission on the new Cost of Disability payment, but your individual submission matters just as much. Public consultations rely on hearing directly from disabled people about the real costs they face. Adding your voice can help push for meaningful change.
Really great event to be a part of and lucky to count Alice as a friend.

A beige textured background with an Execerpt from Breaking Silence by Alice Doyle written in Black text. It says “Let us share our lived experiences, name the obstacles we meet, the systemic barriers, the infringements on our liberty, the fences we must climb or tear down just to be. Let us name the everyday invisible sufferings, the tasks that challenge us, the barriers that fence us out of employment and of full participation in life. Let us name the words that harm us, gaslight us and reduce our beings to depersonalised, voiceless statistics.”
This #IWD2026, the theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”
Today we are sharing “Breaking Silence,” a powerful poem by Alice Doyle, written during our October workshop Disabled Women & Poverty: The Cost of Exclusion.
