The shine of an electric car can hide a brutal story: cleared forests, polluted rivers, and families pushed from their homes in Congo’s mining regions. Demand responsibility from automakers. ✍️ #RainforestRescue #ActForRainforest

Gropper shown 4 times in last hour from Jacobs' Hide #uptonwarren
Well, I've seen it but still can't hear it... live or on your vid. 😱🙉
No sign of Spotted Crake from North Moors hide #uptonwarren since 9.10 when it flew to an area of denser reed.
Nice Silver Cloud! At least gives me a little hope one might make it over here 🤔
That'll probably be why I don't record many - I can't ID them 😂😂 Thanks Steve & Les 👍
Mullein - Bromsgrove 09/04/26
Possible Oak-tree Pug?? - Bromsgrove 09/04/26.
Diamond-back (1 of 2) - Bromsgrove 09/04/26
Didn't post yesterday as I was still looking at pugs 😖 Ended up as 22/9 (or possibly 8🤔). Highlights were Mullein & two Diamond-backs, both nfy along with two Many-plumes. Another possible nfy was Oak-tree Pug, but I think it's probably snother Brindled; opinions welcome VC37 SO96 #teammoth

Rubbish images, but the two Goosanders at #uptonwarren on Sunday afternoon
👍
Nice pics. Andy 👍
... or an Agonopterix?
So it would appear 😖😔
Blossom Underwing - Bromsgrove 01/04/26
So, confession time. I didn't really look at the 'Common Quaker' earlier, just potted it, stuck it in the fridge & went back to bed. Looked at it half an hour ago and realised my error, so I now have a new moth on my list and egg on my face 😖 I could claim it was an elaborate April Fool's joke...
5/3 this morning - Common Plume nfy, Common Quaker & 3 Early Grey. Bit chilly & too much moon VC37 SO96 #teammoth
That's a smart one.
The first one does resemble some of the colour forms of B.lanceana that I've seen on t'internet.
2nd S Med. Gull - Upton Warren, Moors Pool
1st W Common Gull - Upton Warren, Moors Pool
Five hours from 7.15 a.m. produced 59 species, 6 were nfy. Best were 2nd S Med Gull, 1st W Common Gull, Swallow, Nuthatch, LRP x2 & Common Sand. #uptonwarren Also, another appearance from three Otters.
But then, I'm assuming the picture was taken in the UK... was it??
Agree, looks to be a Light Emerald
The first three would all be nfm... 🤞
Clouded Drab - Upton Warren 19/03/26
A Clouded not-so-Drab(!) amongst 47/6 at #uptonwarren Flashes this morning with GWC. Another Shoulder Stripe & a Brindled Beauty were the only departures from Orthosia sp. VC37 SO96 #teammoth
Brindled Beauty - Bromsgrove 18/03/26
Four in the trap, one on the fence & one potted from the conservatory window last night = 6/5. Highlight was a nfy Brindled Beauty with A.heracliana/ciliella, 2CQ, Cl.Drab & Early Grey VC37 SO96 #teammoth
In stark contrast to 67/7 at #uptonwarren, the garden moth-trap this morning held 3/2 (2CQ, 1HC) VC37 SO96 #teammoth
Shoulder Stripe - Upton Warren 17/03/26
My second nfm moth of the year at #uptonwarren this morning with GWC, a rather nice Shoulder Stripe. Also new for the reserve. Long hoped for this in the garden, but I'll take it 🙂 VC37 SO96 #teammoth
Thanks Dave. There was another obvious TSQ in the trap, which provided a bit of a clue. That, and Obsid being 100%, made it most likely but still a bit odd given I've seen less about six in 7 years of trapping.
Cheers Steve. Not seen TSQ with such brown-looking spots before - actually, not seen many TSQ before!
Ah yes, I thought something was missing 🤦
An unexpected 67/7 @ #uptonwarren this a.m.with GWC, which included the attached. I assumed Clouded Drab, but Obsid is saying 100% Twin-spotted Quaker. I was wondering, although not very seriously, about Lead-coloured Drab, although it's not very grey. Antennae not yet seen well. Any thoughts?
There is, or has been, a few along the east track at the Moors Pool too.
