T167B and T167A,(1st and 4th pics) two orcas who I had the privilege of meeting yesterday near Victoria. The T90s were also in the mix, as they hunted some auklets. This behavior is thought to be part of honing their greater hunting skills. #killerwhales #orca #PNW #VictoriaBC

A spyhopping Bigg's killer whale in the eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca

Earlier this week the T419s exited Puget Sound after spending three weeks there, and today they finally popped up further north! We were able to get out for our second encounter with there. Here, one spyhops afrer a harbor porpoise kill.
