A woodland waterfall spills into a vivid green plunge pool at its base. The left part of the drop goes straight down the cliff face and the lower right portion descends over some rock steps.

I appreciate all the support of my Vancouver Island work recently. Keeping with the theme, here’s another waterfall. A short hike and rope-assisted descent brought me face to face with this beauty.

The vermilion red of the torii feels like a gentle pulse through the landscape.
In Shinto, this colour is believed to protect and purify, a soft boundary between the visible world and what lies beyond.

Yes it's a lovely place, I'm glad I found it when strolling around the temple ground. And it felt so soothing with the soft sound of the water and the calm atmosphere.

A small waterfall cascades over moss‑covered rocks into a clear stream, leading toward a traditional Japanese covered bridge partly painted red. The stream is surrounded by tall trees and lush green vegetation on both sides. Soft sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

In a quiet little corner of Yahiko Shrine, near Niigata, I found this peaceful place.
The stillness slowly filled every part of me, and I felt I could have stayed there for a long, long time.

This one stayed with me, it's really beautiful.
