Back to #laserdisc night! We cleared out some duplicates and some that we watched and will never watch again (ugh, Yellowbeard), and then we picked up almost 80 titles this weekend.
Tonight: The Gorilla, a 1939 comedy with Bela Lugosi in a supporting role.
“The right people voting” means the people who will vote for the current administration. Unless they’re women, then they can piss off.
“The right leaders” means the pedophile class, oligarchs, or others willing to do the bidding of Xtian Nationalists and white nationalists. And Russia.

This is lovely.
Best tip I ever saw for getting crispy roasted potatoes is to put the baking sheet in the oven while the oven is preheating. Then you put (sweet) potato pieces that have been tossed with a little oil on the hot pan. They should sizzle. Stir once about halfway through cooking time.
And now that other seat is free to hold more bags of yarn! Win-win.

And I keep expecting to see see Hedonism Bot from Futurama in a scene or two.

This sequel/reboot is acceptable. It feels a little repetitive, but it’s not awful.

Knitters! You can make a pin version of the Melt the ICE Hat in a fraction of the time. Use Fingering weight, size US4 needles and CO 36. Rib for about 1 1/2”, then place markers every 9. Continue as pattern specifies, but move decreases 1 stitch closer to markers.

Right?! I didn’t make those because I had to get them all packed and shipped in time. I expect some of my niblings (who are all over age 18) to have chicken fights with them.
