Latest McSorley lab paper is out! Led by Vivien @vshek.bsky.social, this is a story about the immunomodulators from H. polygyrus bakeri (Hpb), and how their analysis led to the identification of HpBoRB, a secreted protein which binds host RELM-beta www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
Well deserved! Congrats 🍾🥂
Just published in @AllergyEaaci
Led by @dsilvaanish66 in collaboration with @RothenbergLab @ChenVarol @AstraZeneca. We reveal a non-redundant and key role for TSLP in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)- a chronic allergic disease of the esophagus.

Great to be a (small) part of this beautiful new study on global diversity of soil transmitted #helminths from @stephenrdoyle.bsky.social and colleagues 🧪 www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Congrats on beautiful work Henry and team!
🚨 New McSorley lab paper just out in Cell Reports!
Very happy to see this published - it has been a lot of work, and its turned into a really nice story.
In it, we show that HpARI+HpBARI can be used as vaccines

Take a look at our latest work from @ikinglab.bsky.social identifying an immune-stromal cell axis that mediates disease tolerance against intestinal infection. It's been a pleasure working with a truly collaborative team to make this project a reality.

I am very excited to share our article on IFNg, stroma and disease tolerance during intestinal helminth infection published today in Cell. This work was lead by the amazing @susanwestfall.bsky.social and supported by many international collaborators.

A protective role for IFN-gamma during helminth infections—gotta love it!
Congrats @ikinglab.bsky.social and @susanwestfall.bsky.social
Really beautiful work, thank you for letting me be a small part of it #Medsky #immunosky 🪱

🚨🚨 Dear friends in North America: I will be taking a 1-year sabbatical at @uwmadisonmmi.bsky.social with the wonderful @markjmandel.bsky.social (bringing the #mucus back to the marine world) from August 2025. If you want to meet up, let me know! Please share

Preprint 📢📢
Epithelial cell-derived cytokines such as TSLP snd IL-33 likely have key roles in the initiation of allergic diseases. We show that despite co-upregulation/expression of IL-33 and TSLP in EoE, TSLP has a dominant role.

Sounds like exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
That is interesting, thanks 🙏🏽
I’ll look into that, thanks!
Awesome, I have a specific lesson on mucosal immunity so I would love the slides!
I like that! Thanks
Poly Matzinger absolutely!

Started working on my first Intro to Immunology course lectures. Any suggestions on the best story/ historic perspective to make my students LOVE immunology above all? Jenner and Pasteur are the obvious fathers but maybe someone found another intriguing option? #Immunosky 🧪
