To emphasize, USFS employees are BARRED from speaking to press about reorg.
Thatâs rightâ like any abuser who threatens their victim not to tell of the abuse.
This is why USFS supportersâ voices are key now.

Glad to know the US Congress is out on a vacation and is resting from the strong effort they demonstrated.

This is psychotic. The President of the United States needs to get help. Totally unhinged and extremely dangerous.
Happy April fools though it probably isnât far from the truth!

New study: humans may evolve resistance to the truth. Animal populations can evolve rapidly in response to stress like temperature or pollution. Now there is evidence that humans fed only lies tend to resist the truth. Epigenetic changes may pass this resistance on to the next generation. Yikes.
THIS perfectly describes most of todayâs media bias and failure!

I don't think people fully appreciate how apocalyptic things are for US science. I haven't had any new funding since 2024, but I'm still ok since typical grants are for three years. This means next year I will be completely out of funding and will have to fire everyone in the lab. It's not great.

This is one of the guys responsible for terminating grants like mine, forever changing the trajectory of my career. And he canât even say what DEI is. It would be funny if the consequences hadnât been so harmful. See my pinned post to get a sense of the damage they caused.
Just watched this. For anyone, everyone who pulled a book from its shelf and checked it out; for any kid who borrowed the book that they needed, that spoke to them, that opened their mind, gave them the support they needed â your librarians are powerhouses. thelibrariansfilm.com
Trump has spent more in 10 days on his reckless war in Iran than America spends in two years on community health centers providing medical care for low-income and uninsured Americans.
Our priorities are out of whack in this country.
A color outdoor portrait of American bacterial geneticist Evelyn Witkin in her later years, standing in a sun-dappled garden or courtyard setting with green foliage and a brick building in the soft-focus background. She is an elderly woman with fair skin, short wavy white hair, gentle smile lines, and warm, thoughtful eyes gazing directly at the camera with a kind, serene expression. She wears a white button-up blouse with subtle textured patterns, small earrings, and a distinctive beaded necklace featuring dark and light beads. A small silver dragonfly brooch is pinned to the left side of her blouse, symbolizing her pioneering work on DNA damage repair (often likened to cellular "rescue" mechanisms). The natural daylight softly illuminates her face, highlighting her dignified and approachable presence as a trailblazing scientist and a Lasker Award and National Medal of Science recipient. The overall mood is one of quiet wisdom, resilience, and quiet celebration of a long, impactful career in #WomenInScience. #WomensHistoryMonth
Geneticist Evelyn Witkin (b. #OTD 1921) pioneered work on DNA damage repair & mutagenesis.
Her discovery of the SOS response revealed how cells actively respond to genetic threats, laying foundations for insights into cancer, aging, radiation effects & chemotherapy resistance. #WomenInSTEM #WHM
That is an insult to Boston Harbor. Maybe the harbor of decades ago - but it is much cleaner than it once was.
ICE has arrested and detained a Nashville journalist who reported stories critical of ICE. Sheâs married to a U.S. citizen and has been seeking asylum here after fleeing death threats in Colombia because of her journalism there.
Theyâve already sent her to Louisiana.
Let me be clear: Iâm glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.
McGovern: How the hell is this America first? You guys broke your top campaign promise. Good luck with that. I hope the defense contractor money was worth it. Shame on you all. The mask is off. You're all just a bunch of pathetic Neocon Warmongers.
