I thought I understood character interiority before, but now that I'm truly experiencing grief, I now understand it better. I notice world news, and I hear about big scale things, but my own world has grown smaller. My emotions just see today, and my now, and that's all my grief can give me.
Yes! I always say this, especially to writing students who ask me what the point is, because "all stories have been told." Sure, I guess...but not YOUR versions.
