I'm really sorry for the dodgy posting tonight, there was something very strange going on with @bsky.app tonight.
Loved the first 2, not so keen on the 3rd.
I think the Embarque probably just beat the Ten Times Around The Sun!

Finish: Lingering cinnamon spice, berries and orange marmalade.
I'm not a rye fan, I thought the sherry finish would mask the spice and herbal notes a bit, it does on the nose but not the palate - it's just not for me. @boutiqueydave.bsky.social probably loves this!

Palate: Thick sweet arrival but immediately herbal and spicy. The orange marmalade is blanketed in cinnamon, cloves and pepper, herbal rye notes come to the fore. It's very juicy & mouth coating, some berries & dried fruit but there's too much spice for me.

Nose: We're almost in sherry bomb territory here but there's a little something at the back that's a wee bit different... a little musty dunnage funk gives way to orange marmalade, blueberries and a hint of Parma Violets. There's pepper, baking spices and some herbal notes.
#TLDCWhisky @londondistilleryco.bsky.social Yesteryear Bronze in the Glencairn, swirls leave thin lines which bead up quickly, hang around and eventually fall as slow thin oily legs.
#TLDCWhisky Embarque Lingering cinnamon spice, berries, dried fruit and citrus zest.
#TLDCWhisky Embarque Palate: Thick sweet arrival: the berries from the nose are here very jammy. We've added dried fruit, dates and figs, the Oloroso finish having had a real influence on the spirit. There's a hint of smoke or tobacco as the liquid disappears. Definitely a dram that begs another sip
#TLDCWhisky @londondistilleryco.bsky.social Embarque Nose: Hedgerow berries to start: raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and some strawberries. There's some chocolate covered chewing nuts, gentle peppery spice and some leather hints. Orange zest and a little honey round things off
#TLDCWhisky @londondistilleryco.bsky.social Embarque Dark gold in the Glencairn, swirls leave thin lines which take an age to bead up and eventually fall as slow thin oily legs.

Finish: lingering honey, spice and a little stewed orchard fruit.
Yummy dram, I'll be buying a bottle tomorrow!

Palate cont: there's some dried fruit notes here - the kind covered in yoghurt. Some toffee sweetness and again with each sip a bite of peppery or gingery spice. YUMMY!
#TLDCWhisky Ten Times Around The Sun
Palate: thick, sweet arrival, loads of vanilla and honey with a bite of peppery spice. Mouthcoating to start, the orchard fruit and icing sugar from the nose comes through and then the liquid turns all syrupy as it's disappears.
#TLDCWhisky Ten Times Around The Sun
Nose: lemon bonbons and icing sugar to start, orchard fruit develops a little tropical note. There's some trifle fingers, honey and a hint of ginger. A little time and air offers apples and poached pears again with a little icing sugar.
