It’s not (unless you ask my students) and worthwhile - lots of online tutorials. But I believe this can be done in Statistica too (I remember it from undergrad)
Just a simple script i wrote, the inferred potential richness for the area is modelled statistically based on the species accumulation curve. Happy to send you the script.
A project that started during our COVID-19 lockdown, birdwatching within the 5 km radius from our home. Daily observations over 5 months in 2020/21 yielded a modelled 87 species, and yesterday I saw species 77: a flock of great cormorants, flying in formation above the traffic lights.
