Not weird at all. I can be rattled an entire day (and then again if reminded) by something someone says in a dream. I do believe dreams are aspects of ourselves in communication though, so that would mean, I'm rattled because some aspect of myself said/did something confronting/disagreeable. π

Day 13
In #TodaysPoem I really like how the 2nd half of this #palindrome makes me hopeful. Also, I feel that since the poem's publication things have started to change:

It is interesting that so many use Insta, but how much does it help them? I'm not in the Metaverse and generally not much on socials. When I'm on Bluesky, I rarely feel emotionally manipulated. But yes, my posts go unnoticed unless mutuals pick them up. Which makes posting feel like caring.

Day 9 of #poem-a-day brings a fairy tale in #haiku and I this is my favourite line:
"a mouse remembers
how to neigh"

Agree! Poetry is a great balm. And getting lost in craft the perfect retreat.

Would you like to receive a poem in you inbox each day rather than (just) the news? My friend (and narrator of my story It's in the Blood) Anna Pele is doing this amazing series for the month of April (with writing prompts for writers):
Thanks so much Susan!β€οΈπ» I'm stoked you've joined the series!π€Έ
1 thing (of many) I liked about Day 8's #poem-a-day: the glasses of water (instead of the candles we usually light to remember the dead) are a unique and meanigful metaphor in the #prosepoem. Water gives life, is clear and easy to understand--the opposite of death.

Easter and family had me too busy for proper phone time, so a bit late but....
On April 1st, read a #poem-a-day kicked off with Poe's #poem "A Dream Within A Dream".
Published 177 years ago, it's a beautiful example of lyric #poetry.

Today's #poem-a-day from @annapele.eu is Admission by Mollie O'Leary and boy does it pack a punch. Twas the first thing I read today and I know I'm not going to shed "that" feeling any time soon. dialogist.org?offset=16548...
Sounds like you had a similar reaction to mine when I read it last! This poem amazes me each time I read it; this year, too.
This time round, the lines "a plate painted, hung on a nail./ The house yellow like rich cream/half-broken into butter" landed the first punch.
Thank you for sharing!
Very excited to be part of this!

Thanks for sharing the links! I'll keep an eye out.
Ah no, sorry. I meant if you've gathered experiences with both/either. I couldn't figure out which kind your current mic is. But also, what have you been hearing from others? There's no gold standard, but I wonder if a condenser mic is best for a proper booth, whereas dynamic is for blanket setups.
πsuch a mic = my greatest fear!
Not actually treated. I would have needed to either treat the walls or build a booth. Since stuff on the wall wasn't an option, and my budget was tight, I went with something like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9pH...
Only mine doesn't look half as cool or professional π€ͺ

Anyone know when it'll be available in Europe?

I see dynamic vs. condenser being discussed. Have you made any experiences?

It definitely is a challenge and sometimes it feels never-ending π€ͺ I had to "treat" my walls, so I built a booth with PVC pipes to hang blankets on. Convenient if you don't have much space, but I'm worried about getting a better mic and it catching too much sound.

I started worrying about becoming an adult when I turned 13. Sometimes it feels like I missed the carefree times entirely
Thank you to @wordskatter.bsky.social and @reckoningmag.bsky.social for the opportunity to narrate this story!
So far I've recorded on my phone (app: ASR) and sent to an editor.
I've only done short stories for a magazine, so I'm inexperienced.
If I'd need to do sound editing, I'd likely use something like Audacity. I'm not an Apple user.
What's your soundbooth setup? Mine's still a blanket fortress.
