If you want to read some excellent fiction about people working together and looking out for each other in hard times, "The Year Without Sunshine" is a very good choice, as many have said lately.

I've been bedridden for the last 10 months, unable to work as I try to get a surgeon and insurance lined up for my operation to let me work again.
If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.

Crafting Interactive Fiction with Bitsy. With Anna Anthropy. September 28 to October 19. 4 weeks online workshop, 150 minutes per session.
What if a work of fiction were more like a space – something readers could wander, struggle against, push at the boundaries of? Digital games let us weave interactivity, spatiality and friction into storytelling. In this class, we’ll use Adam Le Doux’s Bitsy – a free browser-based game tool – to create interactive narratives. If you love storytelling and want experiment with new tools to tell new kinds of stories, this class is for you. Beijing Time: September 28, October 5, October 12, October 19, Sundays, 9:00 - 11:30 AM New York Time: September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18, Saturdays, 9:00 - 11:30 PM
Our 150-minute workshops will consist of guided tutorials, artistic discussions and creative exercises. Over the course of four meetings, participants will write, develop and revise a work of original interactive fiction. At the end of the class, outstanding projects will have the opportunity to be featured in an exhibition at Accent Sisters in New York.
Anna Anthropy is a game designer, educator and cyborg. Her work, both digital and tabletop, explores themes of queerness, kink and disability. Her most well-known digital games include dys4ia and Lesbian Spider-Queens of Mars; some of her recent tabletop work includes Coldbloods, The Fool's Journey, and the award-winning Forgotten Palaces. Anna is the author of several books on games and game design, including A Game Design Vocabulary, Rise of the Video Game Zinesters, ZZT, and the Make Your Own Video Games! series from No Starch press. She has shown work in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Museum of the Moving Image in New York. She lives in Chicago with a little black cat named Encyclopedia Frown.
I'm excited to announce I'm going to be running a four-week remote workshop on creating interactive fiction with #bitsy starting at the end of September! Games created in the workshop will be featured in an exhibition at Accent Sisters in New York, with whom I'm partnering on this project!

There's special punishment in being someone who finds self-promotion not just difficult as a concept but also painful. "Oh, just sell yourself and be super confident at what you do!"
Easy.
Anyway, I *am* great at what I do, so do you know anyone who needs my help?

Tesla robotaxis swerving into the wrong lane and driving over the speed limit have already caught the eye of federal regulators, as @kirstenkorosec.bsky.social uncovered.
And in two instances, a robotaxi suddenly hit the breaks near police vehicles in adjacent parking lots.

So sorry to hear this and thank you for reaching out. You have so many people who admire you and want you to be ok!
Well, assuming I get one, that is. 😅
Planning my break around this!!
Big tech companies such as Dell, Google, Microsoft, and Red Hat are spending millions this week to hold their tech conferences. Let me summarize their news for you: AI is great! They should have gotten together for one gigantic show—AI is Great!-- and saved a ton of cash. I'm just saying!
To be fair, you did say that it was difficult to pull off. (see? Somebody does read your Ende notes! 🤣)
