Get with the times, guys. Obviously, you put plot-relevant details about the premise in a one-time Fornite event. And then reference it offhand in one line. "Somehow, Doom happened"

So who is going insane, who gets locked in the attic, who gets married to their cousin etc. really depends on what choices YOU the reader makes.
