After legalization, cannabis consumption did not seem to increase in our sample. However, keep in mind, our data does not speak to cannabis consumption and possible changes on a more general population level.

We recruited a convenience sample of 605 German citizens 1 month (T1) after the recreational cannabis legalization and 6 months later (T2): One’s own and friends’ positive attitudes and norms, behavioral intention and control in T1 predicted later cannabis consumption (T2).
