Terrible news hearing of the passing of Sam Kieth. I often found myself doodling some variation of The Maxx or Sandman, his style emulated. Such a profound talent lost too soon.

Took this page down a couple years back but it's ready for a return. Get the print representative of our current representatives. The Crapitol makes a great gift for anyone, regardless of what side of the political spectrum they fall on.

I’ve been working on post-Los Angeles wildfire products mainly interviewing those who took the early retirement out of the federal gov. Rusty Harris-Bishop recounts his deployment and the work of community involvement coordinators to keep the public informed in LA. #lawildfires #emergencyresponse
Watch the exciting trailer for Vengeance Must Die!
(I didn’t make this whole comic to not still yell about it occasionally.)

Screen capture from screenplay ratings site The Blacklist.
Oh damn. “False Flag” is at the top 1% of screenplays on the Blacklist. 🤩
You can check out the graphic novel written and drawn by me at redwoodcomics.com/false-flag.

Well, a pleasant surprise from the Blacklist for “False Flag.” The 2nd 8/10 evaluation for the feature screenplay.
If you haven’t already, consider following our campaign on for issue 2 on @wearezoop.bsky.social. Visit zoop.gg/c/false-flag-2. You’ll be able to order issue 1 if you missed it.
Remarqued posters for the graphic novel “False Flag.”
When taking on a story as serious as “False Flag,” it’s harder to do some of the “gimmicks” to move a title. Considering a dramatically simple approach to issue 2 with just the single physical or digital copies at a lower threshold…although I do appreciate those out there who appreciate my work.
Please go to ringoawards.com and vote “Comics From the Kitchen” for Best Anthology, which includes the endearing story from @danmembiela.bsky.social included below.
False Flag #1 is powerful. Dealing with the aftermath of a mass shooting and told in moody, rich black and white art. Check out the link below to catch up and/or continue the story.
Thank you. I’m glad it was an impactful first issue for you.

Post cards of encouragement sent to EPA staff in San Francisco.
I will say it has been hard to stay positive the last couple of weeks. It’s been busy but I will say I’ve been thankful to the folks sending me and my colleagues words of encouragement.

Looking through my collection of photos and found an old one of my son flipping through songs on an iPhone. They get old too soon.

Nice of Spectrum News to use my footage from EPA #lawildfire response almost shot-for-shot. 😊
Adobe Illustrator on a laptop while a kid watches “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” on a television.
Post-Super Bowl lettering and layout in Illustrator while watching some Spider-Man with the kiddo. We’ve rewatched the first episodes a few times so far.
I’m only watching this this game for the halftime show. It did not disappoint.
Additionally, it’s been one helluva week, as I’m sure (hope) you’ve been reading with the administration change. I’m back home for a couple of weeks and looking to finish up lettering, then publishing the comic before I’m back in SoCal. Thanks for supporting “False Flag” & @redwoodcomics.com.
Hi all, especially to those who’re waiting for “False Flag.” I’m part of EPA’s Response Support Corps, and I’ve been away in support of the LA wildfire public information response, going out, capturing footage, and producing news and b-roll packages for our int. & ext. partners (👇🏼 like below).
It’s hard to write for because you have to get the viewer to react to a specific spot they can’t walk to or interact with.
It’s not as exciting as video games, but it was labor intensive and we ended up running into issues with the filmmaker we hired. BUT it was rewarding. The preliminary for the project was highly praised and there were people asking us to make experiential films.

How has working in VR/360° been? I’ve read there’s a resurgence? We had VC’s pull away from projects we were working on in 2016-2018 because it was so expensive. We did a schizophrenia experience that was well received, but it all just died all of a sudden and Jaunt closed its doors.
“I think we are in a new era, a new phase of the struggle where we have moved from a struggle for decency, which characterized our struggle for 10 or 12 years, to a struggle for genuine equality. And this is where we're getting the resistance, because there was never any intention to go this far.”
