Congrats!!

I missed an entire section when I wound my warp the other day. Checked it twice, still missed it. 🤦🏻♀️ Got some good problem solving practice in though. 🙄
Vertical warping mill with 8/2 cotton spiraling around, measuring out a warp for a floor loom.
A cat is visible through the spaces on the full warping mill. He is carefully placed just outside the mill turning radius.
Are you interested in a hobby that makes you question your ability to count and do basic math? Let me recommend fiber crafts. Count, count again, swear, count again, multiply and carry the one, count again. Success.

Moving a studio is rough. So much stuff to box. Good luck!
I like doing some free motion quilting on my domestic too, but this one will probably be straight line stitching. Too little throat space.
I’m working on a quilt top and I’m already wishing I still had access to the longarm at Open Works to finish it. 🤦🏻♀️😆 Sadly, no room to put a longarm here - domestic it is!
Fun!
I love your shuttle! Would you mind sharing where you bought it?
This is a lovely tribute. I’m so sorry for your 2022. ❤️
I loved living in Charlotte and watching ICE invade is breaking my heart.
Is that the one I saw on Reddit? It was super cute!
A stack of half rectangle triangles sitting on a wool pressing mat.
I don’t know that I’ve ever trimmed half rectangle triangles before. I’ve done pretty much everything else, but I’ve just never used them before. 🤷♀️ Seems good so far. We’ll see how the sewing goes.
Your weaving guild may be able to help you find the loom you want, but used. Buying used is how I was able to afford to buy the exact loom I wanted - for about half price! Just something to think about, although I also love buying things shiny and new!
A cutting mat full of fabric square and rectangles waiting to be trimmed.
Spending the evening trimming half square triangles for a quilt and listening to an audiobook. Repetitive but peaceful.
This is so pretty. I love the colors you chose!
Congrats!! This is great!
Four quilt blocks made with red and white fabrics.
We relocated to Scotland (planned and moved in about five months 😳) and now I’m back to crafting. Here’s a layout I made with some blocks in class today.
I got mine from someone on a Ravelry board. Also, our local guild has a sale every year (or every other) and looms listed in all of our newsletters for sale at really low prices (sometimes even free). There are also auctions at fiber festivals.
My loom is getting packed soon for a move too, but I have to leave out the inkle for a conference at the end of June. No floor loom for a few months. 😭
White fabric with grey, black, and red stripes. Very wrinkly.
Finished a quilt and also the warp that was on my loom. All washed but still needs a good steam & press. That’s all for the weaving until after we move, but I still have some sewing to do.
4 cones of Ito yarns and one cone of another brand. The Ito yarns are white, black, purple, and teal. The other is a heathered grey.
Went to our local creative reuse store and came home with these. I’ve been wanting to try these for awhile, so I was excited to find them. And for $8 total!

Thanks!
Quilt block made up of elongated triangles. The left side is teal and pink. The right side is blue and orange.
On a self imposed sewing/weaving retreat this week (at home). I have a quilt to finish, blocks to make for another quilt, blocks to start for a third quilt, and a warp to finish on my loom. Here’s a block I did yesterday for @libselliott.com 2025 Block of the Month in the Sew Squad. #quiltsky
Pretty!
We read them! It helps us decide if we’re interested enough to buy the game. If we like it then we go check out reviews and complexity information on BGG.
A grey, teal, and purple warp on an inkle loom.
Starting to learn my new inkle loom. I have until the end of June to be ok enough to use it in public. 😬 I still have a quilt to finish and spinning to practice. And a warp on my loom that needs finishing. It’ll be fine. It’ll all be fine.
Here’s a photo of some fun fabric I’m currently working with, just so there’s a crafty photo too. 😬
I am stressed but having a very good day all at the same time. Everything is just A LOT. But my face was in QuiltCon magazine (in a photo of a Zoom call 😂) and I’m going to MAFA in June to take a weaving class I’m super excited about.
So pretty!
Been there. Sucks so much. ❤️
