My hot take as an employer: why aren’t US companies lobbying for universal healthcare? IT WOULD SAVE THEM SO MUCH MONEY. It’s expensive to provide health insurance & it shouldn’t be tied to employment anyway. I don’t get it. It doesn’t have to be this way!

When I was 21, I lived at Refugio del Rio Grande on the TX-Mex border. Pio Celestino taught me about Leonard Peltier, among many other revolutionary heroes. That was 30 years ago & he had already been locked up for 20 years. Wow. Hard to believe but glad he’s finally going to be free.

One thing I did for my well being this weekend was to (finally) organize the pantry. Turns out I’ve accidentally acquired about 10lbs of lentils. Going to sprout them for my investment properties, aka the chickens. #selfcare
