Tell them you love them...

I had some watercolor supplies that were looking for a new home...they're in good hands now!
The photo shows a close-up of a pink flower (Scabiosa). The flower head consists of many individual blooms. Particularly striking are the larger outer blooms, which frame the smaller ones in the centre, which are a lighter shade than the outer ones.
Have a wonderful week ahead π«Ά

The "ick" factor!
You love to see a man stand up for his wife like this. There are so many people who ignore women until there's a man who will echo what they are saying and back them up.
Adam's a good guy...
Star butterfly today was #Brimstone .. just chilling for 1/2 hour in sunny spot just meters away from where I had my lunch & the reason it's here in such numbers .. one of its two larval foodplants, the Buckthorn ((R. cathartica) grows well around #DevilsDyke & is now in new leaf!

Conundrum: do I get properly dressed to pick up diesel at the gas station or just wear my farm jeans? Decisions, decisions...(going with the farm jeans..)
And that's why we have BCAA π
B.C. bears emerge from their dens, sparking excitement and heightened monitoring #Vancouver
I accidentally drank 4 mugs of coffee today. But my legs are rebelling against strenuous use today because of the 7500 steps yesterday.
And I know, βhow do you drink four mugs of coffee and call that accidental?β
I lost count.
Transfer Beach park on a sunny spring day. A still bay is on the left with a sailboat anchored. A leafy green slope bordered by a walking path is on the right. Two large poles reflect the community's logging industry.
Currently hanging out at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith BC, which would be ideal except that I locked my keys in the Jeep and I'm waiting for BCAA to arrive
Oh I've done that before...I keep an extra set of keys in my purse, just in case! Least it's not raining!
Watercolor of pink magnolias...
Watercolor of a fish in my pond!
I had houseguests from Ukraine visiting this week. One of the gentlemen is an artist; he did a watercolor of my magnolias while eating dinner one night! And another one of a fish in the pond!
Chloe is studying the computer monitor, carefully evaluating photographs I had taken earlier in the evening. #HappyCaturday!

There was a time when we worried that Rico would never grow into his oversized mittens.

A roadrunner is up on a fence with its right profile to us. Its beak is open as if smiling. A blurry green tree is visible behind.
Hmm, looks like Ravi may be breaking his streak of early morning visits. Maybe the incessant weed whacking in the general direction he comes from may have something to do with it. I get it, Ravi - annoying.
Your snacks are out in case you come by while Iβm inside. πͺΆ

Indy the sweet little floofy caramel and cream pie border collie sits on top of a 1935 gazebo made of stone that looks out of a long green forested valley
βMy dad is on a trip but that doesnβt stop him from posting my super special Arboretum walkies!β π§΅
Anthurium with two new red waxy flowers coming through, in a red wrapping on a wood table
Close up of the new leaf coming through on house plant I've somehow kept alive for 6 months
A friend who loved plants died of cancer six months ago & I got this little anthurium that week in his honor.
Today its first new leaf is unfurling. It was too cute not to share π
Sorry for your loss. The plant is beautiful.
Cypress trees reflected in still water at sunset, with orange and gold light along the horizon.
Looking down from an overpass of three lanes of traffic going across the Lions Gate Bridge - a suspension bridge with green towers. In the distance are the north shore mountains
From the bridge deck, looking across at a piece of one of the green bridge towers and snow-covered mountains in the distance. The shot is focused on a cyclist with a helmet and backpack riding from the right to left
Looking down at the Seawall in Stanley Park from the bridge. People are jogging towards a corner where the white and red prospect point lighthouse sits
Closeup of the paw and claws of one of the stone lion sculptures at the south end of the bridge
Here are some of the Lions Gate Bridge

A large, bright pink azalea bush in a yard at the corner of a gray-green house.
My azalea, she gorgeous. π

Weβre just going to skip spring all together, right?
There's a lovely soul I adore who lives aboard but isn't often in the Bay.
She sent me a text to see if I wanted to go for a walk - 90 minutes later, we're all caught up & watched the sunset on the strait on our way home.
Great night.
#Boatlife is like that. Creating those moments when you can.
There was thunder hail an hour after we got back lol Seattle spring
guys, this is how you lose the time war
All I saw was sideways hail.
Hail on the stairs/just pelting down!
And it has started..pelting down wet snow/hail (too chicken to go outside to check) #FtLangley
