On the PE: Theodore of Mopsuestia positions 1 Timothy as a kind of prescient Pauline anticipation of Marcionism, which I find to be an interesting concession. Theodore isn't able to think outside of the Pauline ascription but he doesn't think Paul is talking about his own situation.
