(Oh, by the way, when I say "whether I should or shouldn't associate my App Wizard with Atproto Mpls", I mean, I'm wondering if I should make it clearer that the App Wizard is my personal project and does not represent Atproto Mpls, which I'm not in charge of, I'm just trying to get it started.)

The App Wizard is one of many tools being built in the Atmosphere, a community of likeminded beings building the open social web on atproto.
We are Atproto Minneapolis. Join us. (Oh, the ring? That part was just a metaphor.)

Come see a demo of the App Wizard — an open source tool that helps anyone scaffold a personal app on the AT Protocol (yes, the one behind Bluesky). Bring a laptop to build alongside us, or just a notebook to sketch ideas.

The Dark Lords of Tech are nearing completion of their mission: to seize all of the world's wealth and power. Their plan's one flaw: it depends on controlling all of our data. We're looking for a group of builders, designers, dreamers, hobbits and elves to forge the tools of our liberation.

This is a session I might propose for Minnebar, a tech unconference here in MN. The deadline is tonight at midnight, sorry I'm so last minute. If anyone has feedback, especially about whether I should or shouldn't associate my App Wizard with Atproto Mpls, please let me know.

@j3s.sh friendly reminder, hope you can still make it.
Minneapolis folks, this is tonight, Wednesday, April 15. Our first #atproto meetup. Whether you're building something or want to learn more about the tech behind #bluesky. All are welcome. No agenda for this one, very casual.
Walker Library in Uptown, Isles Conference Room, 7-8 PM.

OK, it's official, we'll be meeting in the Isles Conference Room at the Walker Library in Uptown, from 7-8 PM on Wednesday, April 15 to discuss and demo ATProto things.

Thanks, I merged it! Btw, that file's not getting used at the moment. I was previously testing whether Github integration would work, but it's still on the todo list. Right now, the app just generates a ZIP file, doesn't push it or deploy it anywhere.
otoh, I'm open to shopping for a bigger space, if you want to aim higher.
btw, their bigger room was taken, this one holds 10, but if we get 10 ppl for the first meeting, that'll be great. I tried to start a meetup for Solid (Tim Berners-Lee's protocol) a few years ago, and I booked the biggest room at the Southdale Library (RIP) and my attendance ranged from 0-2, IIRC.
well, I just submitted it, and haven't gotten the confirmation email yet, but I've booked rooms before and confirmation should be automatic as long as our intended use of the room is acceptable. So I'm fine with advertising it, as long as you know there's a theoretical chance it'll get turned down.
OK, I submitted a request to reserve the Isles Conference Room from 7-8 PM on Wednesday, April 15 at the Walker Library in Uptown

They have a free parking garage open during library hours.
Thanks very much, I'll take a look now!
OK, I'll book a library room. How about the week of April 13-17. Do you have any weeknight preferences? And what about 7PM vs 8PM? Is Bloomington good, or uptown, downtown, or somewhere else? As far as format, maybe we leave it casual, no formal presentation? Maybe chat about what we're working on?
I love this attitude. I may be busy next Wednesday, every other evening works. You wanna pick the place and time, or you want me to? What do you think about libraries or coffee shops? There's also the MOA food courts, no permission or reservation needed, and it's on the light rail.
I changed my handle via settings before the conf & it broke my atmosphereconf.org about me page, so I undid it. I want to be clear I'm not affiliated with the hacker mag (big fan tho), or Atari(?). But if I change it, what else breaks? What about ppl who move to their own domains, do they vanish?
Also back in MPLS (technically Bloomington) from atmosphereconf! We need a meetup. I'm happy to help (maybe take the lead) if there's interest. Social isn't my greatest strength but community will be worth it. I'm planning an atproto-related session for Minnebar, so maybe I/we(?) could start there.
“The ultimate hidden truth of the world is that it is something that we make, and could just as easily make differently,” David Graeber
I've loved this quote since I first read it, but today I'm really feeling that second part, we *could just as easily make it differently*

Merged! Thank you again @goldavelez.org and @chefkene.bsky.social !
I made a few changes to filter and sort the list, and incorporated the results into the search feature as a backup to lexicon.garden
Wow, thank you! I'm at this conference and forgot to check my bluesky account till just now. I'll try to take a look and get it integrated as soon as I have some free time. Thanks again!
Yep! I was just working with Claude to figure out a plan for integrating it, and just responded to your earlier post before I saw this one. I put a draft spec in the repo. Thank you again! I really appreciate the work you did, and that you said, "I was inspired by your unconf talk". It means a lot!
Wow, this looks awesome! I just created a draft spec and pushed it to the repo, to integrate this into the current search and adopt lexicon functionality. Thank you!
I just submitted to present at #ATmosphereConf
I don't post much here (yet, at least), mostly follow atproto, decentralization, tech things. I'm yetanotherjonwilson on discord and github.
