I think it's akin to how you can immediately tell something is dubbed before you even notice that the lip movements don't match. The voice is wrong for that person - somehow we can just tell that that particular size and shape of person does not sound like that.

I've been working at a computer for nearly 30 years. I'm, shall we say, PAINFULLY aware of what kind of injuries can result from NOT HAVING THE VERY FUCKING THING I AM TRYING TO OBTAIN.

Oh, fun. Before I can do the 45min assessment, I have to take a 20min training.

I have to take a 45min ergonomic assessment to prove I am short enough for a desk that lowers to 26.5 inches. The same kind of desk that was the default in the building I just moved from.

Our new workspace is truly the armpit of this building - no exterior windows, just a glass wall that abuts the atrium (so we're in a giant greenhouse), and is right underneath the loudly-rumbling HVAC main which, for added ambience, occasionally also emits a high-pitched whooshing. #RTO #CorpLife
