Hey all! Quick update. Been working on a few things and one of the things I decided to do was update the game HUD. Let me know what you think! Also added a few new power ups and pause menu. I am debating weather I want to add in a new feature (Challenge Cards) before a demo.Thoughts? #Gamedev #godot
Happy Friday devs! What is everyone working on this weekend? #gamedev
"Make it exist first, you can make it good later"
Realizing more and more how important this is.
Hoping to have another Devlog post out by the end of the week.
Love the art style!
Happy Monday!
So I spent some time today updating some of the menus/card controls. So much for working on level scaling. Also added some more art to the Main Menu screen. What do you think. #solodev #gamedev #godot
I just spent 2 hours working with control nodes and how to make a card object easily focused on controller..... This shouldnt be so difficult 😅. Im going to bed.
Here is an early attempt at some chiptune music for stack the deck. Rough but gotta start somewhere. #indiedev #flstudio #chiptune
New Devlog up on itch. Check it out! #sologamedev #firstgame

I will be spending 2 hours before bed playing Pokémon Fire Red under the covers like the good old days. #pokemon
Its been a while but planning on putting out a devlog on itch Sunday. Been making incremental process. Majority of card power ups I want for the demo are done. Need to look at leveling/progression, some visual feedback and controller support still. #itch #gamedev
Happy Monday. Doing some reworking on the scoring right now. Inching closer to an initial Demo.
Looks dope - love the card designs!
love the style!
Currently working on weighted random selection. Going back over some algorithm topics from back in the day and spent alot of time looking at Fenwick Trees and Alias Method last night. It's been a bit.
Sorry for the blurriness, these did not upscale well in the post!
Here are some of the cards I am working on for the early demo of Stack the Deck. Art is very basic / early ideas for a demo. Reworked some of the tile code to begin to work these in! #godot #gamedev
Update, Mewgenics delayed more progress. Man this game is awesome
Well my last two days have been spent playing mewgenics (great game) - Time to get back to making some progress on my own game tonight. #gamedev
Dev Update: I did very little work on my game yesterday because Mewgenics came out and has consumed me. I expect more of the same today. 10/10 game.
Everything I read about Mewgenics seems to be overwhelmingly positive. Can't wait to try it tomorrow.
I realized last night that I was over complicating one of the components of my game. So switching focus tonight to implementing additional power ups. Once thats done we should be pretty close to a demo.
Happy Monday Devs!
I have always heard that its good to create the most basic version of your game to start, but sometimes just a tiny bit of polish or feedback can really make it feel 10x better.
