Well my thoughts are, the meadow next door is awash with them each summer (see photos), and are the only orchids I’ve seen here.

As they are within a few metres of the garden they were my fist instinct - more than happy to be corrected and find it’s something else!

Skies alive with oodles of Common Crossbill, Chichaffs ‘chiff-chaffing’ everywhere, Blackcap singing, frogs getting sexy, and I found an active Raven nest.
