Happy #EarthDay2026 🌎! Our province and community are home to incredible landscapes, wildlife, and waters. Today, we celebrate our shared commitment to protecting the Earth and the place we call home.
Prevention of Violence Against Women Week is a reminder that too many #women and #girls in BC experience #genderbasedviolence, often in silence. Changing this requires all of us to challenge harmful attitudes, speak out, and build systems rooted in safety and respect.

Treaties are a major reconciliation achievement and embody the relationship between a First Nation and the Provincial Government.
That's why I'm proud that we voted as a government this week to introduce the K’ómoks Treaty and Kitselas Treaty Act.

We are investing in solutions to reduce diesel dependence as we face the geopolitical challenges and fuel price impacts of the Trump US attack on Iran and war escalation.
Clean power, sustainable, sovereignty and innovation.
BBBS is always looking for youth mentors, especially Big Brothers - if that interests you please check out their website: victoria.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca
Meet Sam from Big Brothers Big Sisters Victoria! He's a Big Brother that stopped by my community office to chat about all the wonderful work being done to build mentor mentee relationships in Oak Bay-Gordon Head.
Let me be clear, 100% of our caucus, including me, hates the position that the recent court decision has put us in. I believe in a path forward, to address the legal risk and to continue the work to grow our economy while addressing injustices that have impacted Indigenous people for generations.
So exciting! I just introduced the first new Treaty to B.C. in over 10 years—the K’ómoks Treaty Act. After more than three decades of work between the K’ómoks First Nation, Canada and B.C., the K'ómoks Treaty if fully ratified brings stability, certainty and prosperity for all in the region.
Throughout BC, streets will fill with community spirit and colour as Sikh families and friends gather to celebrate Vaisakhi.
Vaisakhi marks the founding of the Khalsa in 1699 – and remains one of the most sacred and joyous days in the Sikh calendar.

We’re looking forward to welcoming the world to British Columbia.
Today, I attended the Highway of Tears 20th Anniversary Symposium in Prince George.
Thank you to all those that opened space for me to listen to insights and experience while witnessing community resilience.

🌿 B.C. communities are showing up for our parks!
From cities to small towns, British Columbians are backing our parks in a meaningful way. Since 2017, over 630,000 park plates have helped fund vital work - from restoring ecosystems to connecting kids with nature.
Staying active, connected, and engaged supports healthy aging. Even small daily movement—walking with friends, gardening, strength training, dancing—boosts your body, mind, and mood. Explore simple ways to feel your best at any age at www.HealthLinkBC.ca/living-well

Whether it be personally or through someone close, we know a cancer diagnosis impacts so many.
Thank you BC Cancer for sharing how BC is leading in research and treatment.
Our government is committed to working towards a cancer-free future and delivering the best care possible.

Happy Easter! For Christians, today is the holiest day on the calendar, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ. People of all walks of life are coming together with friends and family to eat good food with good company. And of course, with lots of chocolate eggs for the kids.

I have seen firsthand how the sharing of intimate images without consent is devastating and wrong. Thanks to amendments of the Intimate Images Protection Act, perpetrators can face up to $75,000 in damages.
April is #SikhHeritageMonth in BC, a time to honour the many contributions Sikh communities make to our province. As we celebrate, we’re also standing up for the rights of all people to express their faith freely.

Great to see BC's 30 by 2030 #conservation commitment being echoed by Carney. Great opportunity for the Fed gov to partner with BC as we continue to ambitiously work to drive that forward.

Today, we celebrate the achievements of transgender, Two-Spirit and non-binary people.
Today is also a reminder that not everyone is free to live their lives safely. Many still face hate and discrimination, and struggle to access the life-saving health care and supports.

Stephen Lewis was an incredible human.
As an NDP leader, as a global advocate to fight HIV and AIDS, and as Canada’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Stephen always put people first.
His wife Michele and his whole family are in my thoughts today.
