Verse 1:
I heard a song by Leonard Cohen
With haunting tune and lyric poem
But you don't listen to the lyrics, do ya?
'Cause if you did, you'd surely glean
The song's about a bondage queen
Whose sub submits while singing "Hallelujah"
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

Trust me, disabled people feel this hostility acutely.

Hello! I still badly need work in narrative design or game writing etc. I’ve been in games for 20 years and I’m responsible for the mobile smash hit Lily’s Garden. I will take on full-time or contract work but I really need to pick something up soon. Please get in touch if you have/know of something

I was hanging out with a friend once and we were doing the whole “what do you want for lunch” “oh I don’t mind what were YOU thinking” thing and after three minutes she goes “I’m not allowed to do this” and pulled her phone out, called her Dominant and says “where should we eat”

I’m still laughing

Washington inoculated soldiers against smallpox. And at that time the inoculation wasn’t anywhere close to as safe as vaccines today.

So jealous of you Illinois folks today. Outlawing book bans is a hell of a step forward.

A sole Lesser Whitethroat has been singing on patch for the last two summers, but today it was joined by a second bird. They were so preoccupied with each other they took no notice of me sitting in the shade of a hawthorn nearby. #ukbirding #birds #BirdsSeenIn2026 for England.

To my uncle Wight’s, by invitation, whither my father, wife, and Ashwell came, where we had but a poor dinner, and not well dressed; besides, the very sight of my aunt’s hands and greasy manner of carving, did almost turn my stomach.

whom shall I speak today?
Brothers are mean,
The friends of today do not love.
To whom shall I speak today?
Hearts are greedy,
Everyone robs his comrade's goods.
To whom shall I speak today?
Kindness has perished,
Insolence assaults everyone.
-"A Dialogue Between Self and Soul,"
Twelfth Dynasty, c. 1991-1778 BC

Inside The Dragon Age II 'Writers' Pit' “People who weren’t writers were very leery of going in there, because if they did, they wouldn’t leave for a while, because we would suck them into some conversation. […] It’s where productivity went...

The special sauce of peak BioWare was the Writers' Pit, an almost TV-style writers room of very talented people working on extreme deadline.

At @aftermath.site (and un-paywalled): an excerpt from our latest book, DRAGON AGE II by @charlottereber.com.

I didn’t realize how accurate Holy Grail was until I read some Malory. 😅

I think I've seen Holy Grail once and my main memory is that the bit with the guy who gets his limbs cut off is not that far off how absurdly violent La Morte d'Arthur actually is. Really only A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has also captured how phenomenally dangerous jousting was, for me.

In February 1777, General George Washington ordered the first mass immunization campaign in American history by mandating that his troops be inoculated against smallpox. He protected the Continental Army from an epidemic that was deadlier than British forces.

249 years later, we have this idiot.

I am setting a boundary. Oh god. I should not have done that. They’re gonna be so mad. No. I have a right to protect myself. Then why do i feel so guilty?
