A striking Great Spotted Woodpecker perches on the rough bark of a pine tree, its bold black and white plumage standing out against the muted background. The bright red feathers beneath its tail add a vibrant pop of colour. Its posture exudes alertness and curiosity, perfectly capturing the essence of this iconic woodland resident.

πŸ’” RED Cove πŸ’”

A pod of approx 20-30 Rough Toothed Dolphins was driven into the cove, the trainers decided none was suitable for the captive industry so that pod was released. Very sadly one calf died during the traumatic ordeal

We stand with #Paulwatson - Norway, Japan, the Faroes and Iceland continue to hunt whales. Whales are crucial for the environment as they capture CO2 from the atmosphere #WOWvsTaiji #Ocean website: wowvstaiji.com #Denmark #freepaulwatson

Marine parks are no place for dolphins who are perfectly designed for living complex, wide-ranging and social live in the open ocean. Depriving them of vast ocean spaces and confining them to small, concrete tanks to perform tricks for dead fish is highly unethical.

The oceans continue to be plundered on an industrial scale to keep up with humans insatiable desire for seafood

One man who has campaigned to save the oceans and to stop the whaling for many years is still incarcerated in Greenland

Absolutely! The school I worked in couldn’t wait to destroy the well run library when the librarian retired. It was done with indecent haste and one huge mistakes that was regretted. #booksrule

Many fertilizers and pesticides used in agriculture can end up in the ocean. These can cause irreversible and fatal damage to ocean dwelling species. If ingested by humans, they can cause health issues. #WOWvsTaiji #Ocean website: wowvstaiji.com

Litter from inland can end up in waterways, which then ends up in the ocean. Plastics can break up into smaller particles, these microplastics are mistaken for food by many marine species. #WOWvSTaiji #Ocean

Truly, one of the easiest and most impactful ways to help end dolphin captivity is to get vocal about it! Talk to your friends, family, and followers about what goes on behind the scenes and encourage them to #SayNoToTheDolphinShow
