I went down that road too for a minute, but tbh, it doesn’t seem great as a real mesh. If you’re in an area with a lot of repeaters, or you’re setting up your own private mesh for an event, I think it might be a good option.

Curious about this setup and the shape of that beam. Do you skip over nodes that are really close and hit the ones that are far away?

Get a solar version you can mount up as high as possible set up as a CLIENT_BASE. Hopefully that can hit someone nearby and repeat your messages (won’t count as a hoop either). Range is generally really good, but topography can be a challenge. Good luck!
