The rewards are there if he makes it. Even if he comes back after say 3 years, he can still walk into most/all prem/top 14/URC teams and have 6-8 years top flight ahead of him

Age is on his side, so he can give it a good amount of time to learn the playbooks and hone his skills. Can’t question his speed and agility. The transfereable skills are there, it’s whether he can learn the inticasies quickly enough.

Yeah, DIY gets badly treated imo That album brings back so many memories. Watched them live, where they preveiewed tracks from their unreleased 2nd album, truly fantastic. Hundreds of gigs later, and still one of the best I went to.

Finally managed to get the websites www.frayer-model.co.uk and www.more-same-less.co.uk up and running again. For any maths teachers that haven't seen them in the past (or have and found them useful!) check them out. #UKMathsChat

Six years ago, literally nobody asked me what my advice would be for new teachers starting in September.

So I told them.

And now, years later, still nobody has asked me.

So here it is again

How to avoid teacher burnout... don’t become a teacher. No one chooses to burnout... can we stop making out it’s personal choice that leads to burnout because it isn’t. Unachievable expectations, poor leadership, bullying and micromanaging do.

I feel like we hear a lot that the education sector has the expertise it needs to improve. I think on the whole I agree. But I'm wondering if most of it is in teachers not leaders, and this means we aren't listening enough to the right people?
