Rupert Kinnard
Rupert Kinnard is the trailblazing creator of the Brown Bomber, the first black, gay superhero to tind wide distribution. He also created Cathartic Comics, tirst published in Just Out magazine, which he co-tounded. He's won multiple awards for his work and is featured in the documentary No Straight Lines: the Rise of Queer Comics and in the "Heroes of the Pacific Northwest" section of NWMOCA's inaugural exhibit.

Something about the @nwmoca.bsky.social's ribbon cutting today and seeing my own comics on display kicked me in the butt to pull out a forgotten 7-page comic script and see if I can actually do it. #comic
