A nest. An egg. And inside, a butterfly.
Everything in Its Time holds one of nature’s most tender mysteries: the transformation happening before anything breaks open.

I’m glad that age is being seen as authentic and relatable and even beautiful is becoming to be a part of our culture. I hope the trend continues and suspect it will be part of the AI backlash.

They move so fast you almost miss them, but catch a hummingbird perched on a branch, sounding off in that buzzy little voice, and it stops me completely. That tiny moment of delight is exactly what I’m trying to hold onto in these pieces.

Heads up, friends - this is pretty insane…
“They’re trying to spread political messages and give an illusion of a consensus,” … “Flooding the zone here with tons and tons of videos seems geared to give a false sense of a majority opinion.”

A cardinal keeps watch. A bare branch reaches toward a star. And tucked inside, two fortunes that somehow know too much.
“House of Wisdom” holds the quiet kind of knowing that comes from sitting still long enough to listen.

I feel that.
What do YOU want to be when you grow up?

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but we’re in this together.

A living bird clings to bare branches. A dead one fades into the scripture behind it. Matthew 6 is right there, underneath it all, still asking.
Photo transfer, acrylic, color pencil & ephemera on shadow box with transparency. 8×8×2 inches.
Available. www.judithmonroe.com/store/p/diss...
His words are still there. Just buried under everything else. “Dissonance: Treasure” part of an ongoing series born from tension of watching people who claim Christ abusing power & wealth while his own teachings lay quietly beneath the surface.

Oh thanks. Here’s the vid: bsky.app/profile/judi...
Yes. Dehydrated and nearly dead, I took it home, gave it appropriate food and water and released it into the wilds of my front garden. Somewhere earlier in my feed is video… 😉
Daily walks. Daily wonders. This is where every piece of art I make begins: out there, paying attention to the world most people rush past. What slows you down?

And I believe each of us has more power to do good than we realize.
What small act of kindness have you made room for lately?

The world can feel so loud and scary right now. But in the studio, I keep coming back to the small things. This millipede, rescued from dehydration a few weeks ago, is now the subject of one of my newest pieces. Because I believe the tiny wonders are where hope lives.
Two seahorses. Two eggs. One very quiet mystery.
