I had a really fantastic time at Salute this weekend. It was so great seeing everyone enjoying playing on the table, and being awarded Best in Show was the icing on the cake.
Someone pointed out that I've won Best in Show at the last three large UK shows (The Other Partizan, Warfare, Salute) 🙃

Salute 53, another awesome day out with the ROS running What a Tanker. Congratulations to Joe @joewargamer.bsky.social landing Best in Show, more than well deserved, unfortunately I cut off the town hall spire in pic, but I did get the balcony. ;)

Great fun as always. So much enthusiasm for this game from those who try it for the first time and see how easy it is to pick up
Btw, does anyone know where I can get a balcony suitable for a French town hall in 1940?

This is ace. A great idea.
I'll be running my huge multiplayer game of What A Tanker Battle of Montcornet at Salute 53, in the @toofatlardies.bsky.social zone, table GM10! Come and have a game!

@sarahpewpewpew.bsky.social and me used a bunch we’ve had at HoL as there only seemed to be one tanks worth in your kit. I’ll bring it along.
Thanks @ashleyrpollard.bsky.social for being a super player, @sarahpewpewpew.bsky.social and I loved hosting, and you showed what super aggressive recce can achieve!
As promised, I have now posted a bunch of pictures on my blog of the Herts of Lard day. I've added descriptions of the games with each picture.

Another Herts of Lard under my belt, Joe @joewargamer.bsky.social excelled once again, bringing together a huge group of Lardies for another amazing day of games, new friendships, and a beautiful weekend. I came away with a new gaming mat thanks to sabotag4d.com, cheers Paul. Here’s to HoL 5 in 2027
Ouch!
Looks great Col. In the Buff, or something else?

Thanks for a great game, it was a really challenging scenario!
So would anyone be interested in a Lard day kind of thing near Coventry next year? Ideally with a charity bent? Just testing the waters at the mo but we have a game shop that might be a good spot to hold it and I'd like to make something positive happen.
Errrr @tomjmegan.bsky.social
Well it is #FestiveTankChallenge !
Yes, with new boots though

I forget he’s there until I look in the mirror and see his feet poking out from beneath my ear!

@vimtotime.bsky.social I forgot tell you I have a vimto friend
That’s amazing, thank you
Yes. Considering a slow build project, but didn’t have a lot of luck in finding images. @joewargamer.bsky.social has given me some research pointers though!
I'll be listing these on eBay in the next few days, unless someone makes me an offer here. 👍
