We built a common codebase for all our SUSE #Linux Enterprise #Server 16. SUSE Linux #Micro 6.x series started it. We are now unifying product lines but maintaining choice in our offerings. Daniel Rahn wrote a nice post on it. Pleas read! #SLES16

Thanks a lot Eric.
I'm glad you are enjoying it.
I’ve started @mmmmmmpc.bsky.social new book SLES 16 Official Administration Guide, written with a few of my early Linux friends in the industry. The first chapter has already got me wanting to test all the installation methods, so get it from @PacktPublishing today!

Immutable Linux is a special take on the Linux operating system, where the core of the operating system is mounted as read-only.
Ever wish your #Linux server could just tell you why a service isn't starting? 🛠️
With Agentic AI and MCP on #SLES16, it can. I recorded two new videos demonstrating how we're using open standards to bring AI closer to the OS.

just to provide a counterexample; I've been using linux full time for gamedev for over a year, and my experience has been:
- installation is pretty simple
- drivers, etc, everything worked out of the box
- all the software I cared about using works perfectly
- I never have to use Windows in a VM
Inspired by @minwi.bsky.social, I built this weekend a personal page. In case you want to take a look and link with me in other social networks, here it is:

Yesterday was my 3rd anniversary at @suse.com. I wanted to do something special to celebrate it. I took my "volunteer day" to go to the Universidad de Córdoba and talk about #OpenSource to the new generations and listen to their interests and reply questions. It was a beautiful day.
My daughter and I built a mini-museum with boxes of @suse.com #Linux in our Madrid office.
A tiny tribute to our predecesors.
Thanks to Dirk Müller for providing the content coming from the old Nüremberg office. Thanks to Stefan Behlert for creating the wooden crest for the display.

Her startling observations about chimpanzee behaviors revolutionized not only scientific understanding of the capabilities and inner lives of primates, but also long-held notions about what it means to be human. https://wapo.st/476clLO
