I absolutely believe this line of logic
Yes- perhaps clueless wasn’t the right word…….
Disastrous for NHS more apt!
New piece in BMJ by @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social, Sam Lovell, @jvipondmd.bsky.social, @mjnabuurs.bsky.social and myself on how poor quality trials can bias evidence against respirator use.

I wish he could meet some of the Somalian students and academic fellows at the University of Oxford.
A lot!
I’m a member of the UK doctors long Covid FB group- and there are many members. Many who’ve needed to reduce working or retire early due to ill health.

Covid spreads through the air. The evidence is clear. Professor Trisha Greenhalgh explains what that means for healthcare workers who are still at risk. Watch on our resources page.

The Covid Inquiry is clear: IPC guidance failed.
Five key mistakes led to avoidable harm for healthcare workers and patients.
We cannot afford to ignore this. Read the paper by @EvonneTCurran.bsky.social and @alitwy.bsky.social

Are there, perhaps, any recent examples of dubious characters with obvious security risks being appointed to the House of Lords?
Front cover Positive News, the uplifting current affairs magazine. in red writing. Woman with dark hair wearing navy paint splattered overalls in a studio. Sun heading in yellow- Work in Progress, and beneath in white- How Young Prople are sketching out their futures in uncertain times. ✖️
4 photos of the V & A East from different angles of beige colour roof with black lines in crisscross pattern. Title V & A opens as ‘civic space’ for creativity & community. I sent this article to my son Harry- as when we spoke on the phone yesterday- he mentioned he’d been to the opening event recently.
Title Landmatk illustration museum launches in capital. A photo of one of the exhibition halls in the museum and a photo of Quentin Blake. Again- I sent this article to my son Harry- as not only is he interested in art & illustration- I noticed that the museum is in Clerkenwell- which is where he is working as a Part 1 Architecture Assistant at Tate & Co Architects. Think it’s a parent thing- that notice articles etc- that somehow link to our children. I know both my parents used to clip out magazine & newspaper articles, with their added thoughts- from when I moved away to University and throughout my life! Clearly I am continuing the habit! I sent my daughter an article about teeth last week (she’s a DCT1 dentist) 😊
Good Figures. Brief snippets of news about Wildlife for banknotes, Reforestation, Cities clear the air, 603,963 pieces of litter collected by Marine Conservation Society volunteers across UK beaches in 2025. 68% of children 9-12 yr said that helping others is most important ingredient of their dream job. 42% of new volunteers in the Children charity shops age 18-24, up from 28% in 2021. 38 new species discovered in Japan’s deep- sea regions.
Enjoying Apr- Jun copy of Positive News.
With all the horrible stuff going on in the world- it’s a lovely change to see positive stuff 😊
I like it too-because since I’ve been unwell- it’s harder to read anything long & small font- & PN has chunks of news in good font size

The long and costly shadow of COVID-19 continues to haunt us. The pandemic will have an impact on our economic and personal health for years to come, by @picardonhealth.bsky.social www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/0fc7a92... via @theglobeandmail.com
Nigel Farage earns over a million pounds a year.
Still claims £160,900 in expenses (benefits)
Moans about people abusing benefits.
But not himself, of course.
Not true, Green Party simply prefer solar power to be owned/run by UK local organisations, rather than large non-UK corporations….

Has to ensure the lies of empire continues to be told, because they simply ain’t ready to face their dark past.

👍🏻
People have loved having Green councillors in Byker, Elswick, Jesmond and Ouseburn. They want more!
It’s hard work but with street clean ups, money off district heating bills and more support for anti-poverty groups, it’s clear @nclgreenparty.bsky.social gets results for our communities!
The @nclgreenparty.bsky.social are proud to be on the side of independent venues, small businesses and strengthening the Newcastle pound by keeping more wealth circulating locally.

Emma Shorter was told people who don’t recover from behavioral treatment for #MECFS have made the illness their personality. She was told not to meet other patients and to trust the therapist over her own body. She went from walking 4 mins a day to needing a wheelchair.
He’s clueless!
Ooh- that’s up my way 😊

ofcom.org.uk WTF?
Farage is just doing what his friends in the Trump administration are doing, using their positions - official or unofficial - in the regime for personal enrichment.
It's corruption on a large scale, and they clearly feel completely entitled to do it.

Can’t stop watching this delightful exchange and two such very decent men 👍🏻
Me too, ☺️
One interview we did on children's clinical trial experiences included a story of a child being told they needed to take a blood sample of 'about a teaspoon'. Poor child thought someone was going to dig into her arm with a spoon.
As a 6 year old staying in hospital on my own, I found everything very daunting. So when a nurse asked me if I wanted to "spend a penny" I thought she wanted money.
She was very insistent so I became very worried because I had no money with me and I didn't know why she wanted it.
