That would be epic and so appropriate! Would make a great sofa cushion. 😂

Your cornerstones look fantastic! They are not an easy thing to do well in a quilt—kudos for nailing them out of the gate on your first quilt!

That would be a lovely thing to make for your mom! A crib sized quilt would be perfect for lap use. And I learned to quilt by a friend’s grandmother—she also taught us that the imperfections make you know it was handmade with love. 🤗

Contact a local quilt guild—someone will either know what to do with that gorgeous quilt or can steer you towards a forever home option for it. It’s absolutely beautiful!

That’s a lotta glue!

Sounds like a good time to jump onto the next project then! I found that the more I did HSTs, the better I got at them. And let’s face it, any quilt is better done than perfect. 🤪

This one would be good practice—small triangles mean easier to line the points up!

I think it’s too early to determine the feeling of this piece—can definitely see the intent. 💛

As someone who gave themself a quilting related wrist injury once, I can attest that you will find a way to stay on your quilting goals. But hope it heals quickly!

Stunning quilting work!

Will do—seriously love how the batiks look with the solids! And an easy sew too, especially with the templates.

Also, you can always use paper for testing your cuts—a lot cheaper than using fabric!

If your ruler has a 45degree angle mark, use that to help you make those pieces. Most cutting mats also have the angle markers as well to help with squaring up triangles and diamonds.

Cool design! And a half diamond is just a triangle at the end of the day. You just need to account for the seam allowance, so those would need to be separate strip sections or singularly cut/pieced. Good luck!

Absolutely loving the fabrics that were picked for this #bigislandsky quilt—feeling honored to be finishing up this special gift for someone to give to her dear friend’s little one. Another fabulous pattern by @wholecirclestudio.bsky.social! #quiltsky #modernquilt #babygift

I definitely need to start looking for sales then—never really seen whole bolts on sale in the past though. 😥

Ooooh, love his prints! Definitely need to make some room for this collection in my stash too.

That is going to be a stunner of a quilt! And this reminds me that I meed another bolt of white to keep in my stash. 😏

I love the leather Thimble Pads as they stick really well and are reusable. I use them for appliqué stitching, EPP stitching and hand binding stitching. But if you need something now to act as a thimble, I have found that doubled up bandaids over my pressing area works in a pinch.

Cut these GlamClam clamshells over a year ago… probably should sew them together soon. 🤦‍♀️ #quiltsky #modernquilt #glamclamquilt

5. I am an FPP addict. At least 2/3 of the quilts I make are from FPP patterns. I like the precision it provides and the ability to make designs unachievable via traditional piecing.
