Microsoft is the priority target for @nogamesforgenocide.com given the tech corp's ties to the IDF, & small indie developer @allwillrise.bsky.social recently broke contract with Xbox to support the campaign.
I spoke to them about their decision & why progressives must take up more space in games.
Not just a jury...literally everyone, including Met and Youtube themselves.

This was a very difficult decision for us as a small indie team. Please stand with us and @nogamesforgenocide.com ❤️ #indiedev #indiegames #gamedev #freepalestine
A very nice to initiative where you can post your DAG: opencausal.org
And because they're machine readable, they're much easier to search.
Questions live longer than answers
Open Causal: the second-best way to discuss a causal graph, right after the blackboard. Reporting from the Foundations of Causal Inference Workshop at the Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge. @opencausal.org
@brembs We should by now have a LOCKSS-compliant, multiple-interface-searchable, free-as-in-beer international database that contains every valid scientific observation ever made along with the assumptions in which it was embedded at the time. That's been the goal since well before I came late […]
Absolutely essential piece by @kevinbaker.bsky.social critiquing AI automation of science by pulling back the curtain on what modern science actually is. LLMs already replicate and accelerate its irrational bureaucratic structure.
It is a nice well thought out DAG! Thanks for being part of this 🙏
Today, I am presenting @opencausal.org at @euripsconf.bsky.social. Come say hi, if you are attending!
Upcoming Open Causal appearances:
December 7 — Causality for Impact workshop at @euripsconf.bsky.social
December 10 — Causal Inference Group meeting at @erasmusmc.bsky.social
Join us if you're around!

I’m uploading my #DAGs on #alcohol and #cancer to this nice platform for sharing and discussion.
This DAG is also available on DAGitty for easy reuse: dagitty.net/dags.html?id...
A detailed explanation of the assumptions behind the DAGs is here: www.dovepress.com/article/supp...

- Open Causal: a FAIR Platform for Causal Graphs
I'm very excited about this project, where we aim to promote transparent sharing, discussion, and reuse of causal assumptions through graphs.
Oops. Ooooooooooooops.
I do hope that nobody has been given or denied a job/promotion based on their SpringerNature citation counts in the past 15 years.

I even think the former might be a concern for the editor/publisher. A reviewer can focus only the latter. Maybe also the soundness of the assumptions.
What might seem like a small announcement—it’s just one institution—actually carries substantial weight and has a strong symbolic meaning.
@utrechtuniversity.bsky.social, has taken another bold step: it won't renew its Web of Science license. www.uu.nl/en/news/acce...
We’ll present our research on #advertising of unhealthy products and #publichealth at #EvidenceWeek @senseaboutsci.bsky.social

Thanks Julia! We are planning to launch the beta next month. I'll let you know then.
Presenting our ontology proposal for geospatial exposome data at the Int'l Society of Exposure Science workshop in Lisbon. Nice to see that it already attracts great interest from other groups, highlighting the need for metadata standards in the exposome field. Feedback is welcome.

The offshore editorial office seems forgot inviting a second reviewer for one of our papers. I tried reaching the editor several times. Everytime my emails were redirected the office and I recieved copy-pasted response from same person while our paper waiting for nothing last 6 months.
Against Publishing: universonline.nl/nieuws/2025/...
Preprints are read, shared, and cited, yet still dismissed as incomplete until blessed by a publisher. I argue that the true measure of scholarship lies in open exchange, not in the industry’s gatekeeping of what counts as published.
In an essay for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, SFI External Professor Allison Stanger examines how AI firms are reshaping infrastructure, governance, and power. Her piece draws historical parallels and raises pressing questions about the role of private technology in public life.
The British establishment have all ready covered this new Banksy up.
